Radrussian in The Armory!

Posted by entertainnn On 3:46 PM 0 comments

Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that Radrussian is now in The Armory, and you can check out his stats there now too, if you want a more in-depth look at him. His page is here. I might start using the Armory's pics of my stats instead of the in-game ones, as the Armory's include more, and are easier to read.

If I do, it will probably look a little something like this:

See? The image is much clearer, and looks really nice.

Quest: Disrupt the Attacks

Posted by entertainnn On 6:41 PM 0 comments

Objectives

Of the Razormane tribe, kill 8 Water Seekers, 8 Thornweavers and 3 Hunters, and then return to Thork in the Crossroads.

Description

All the quilboars are our enemies, . Some just prove to be more of a nuisance than others.

The Razormane tribe has been attacking our supply lines from Durotar, causing us no end of annoyance. I have scouts seeking the leader of these raids, but until then, any losses you can inflict on the filthy pig men would aid us.

Start in the northeast towards Durotar. You can always tell their dens from the huge thorny vines that come up from the earth. Seek them out, and slay them.

Progress

The longer it takes to stop these attacks, the harder it will be to provide supplies for the people of the Crossroads.

Completion

You have done well, . Those insolent quilboars will finally learn that the might of the Horde is not to be ignored.

Bring the Secure Crate to Wharfmaster Dizzywig in Ratchet.

Description

I have need to send a crate of potions, reagents and other items to my associates in the Old World. Little time I have to actually see them to the dock at Ratchet, and the last caravan has already left.

If you could, please take this to Wharfmaster Dizzywig. He will ensure that it is placed on the next boat to Blackwater Cove.

Progress

You seek passage on the next ship, or have some item you wish to send aboard it?

Completion

A small enough crate. Yes, I should be able to find room for this aboard the ship. It sails with the next tide, I trust this is soon enough? Excellent. Let me just enter it into my ledger.

All taken care of! Good day to you, hunter.

Char Update: Radrussian - Nov 11

Posted by entertainnn On 9:59 PM 0 comments

Hey everyone, so, surprisingly, not much has changed in the last few days. I got to level 12, and failed at selling 2 6-slot pouches on the AH for 4 silver each... Those were the two main highlights of today's and yesterday's time playing wow. I am almost level 13, but was too tired, and realized that I still have to post an update on here. By the way, I didn't really have a lot of time to play during the last few days, as work is getting caught up with me. Soon I will have a day, where I will play for the entire day, and level like 10 times...hopefully. Anyways, until then, the pics will illustrate the things I am too lazy to type on here now. :P

Here I am...again with my kickass Raptor.

My power has drastically increased... which is nice.

Everybody loves a clean inventory. :)

And, I'm still in the Barrens.

Here are some of the quests I'll be doing in the next few days.

Cya next time,
-Radrussian

Zone: The Barrens

  • Control: Horde
  • Recommended Levels: 10-28
The Barrens is one of the biggest and most active old world zones. It is considered the second zone of choice for anybody leveling a Tauren, Troll or Orc since it neighbors Durotar and Mulgore. With so many players converging in  one zone, it's not uncommon for Forsaken and even Blood Elves to travel to the Barrens as well, since it is much easier to find a group here then in pretty much any other zone.
With so many players packed in one place, it also isn't uncommon for general chat (often called 'Barrens Chat') to go in rather unexpected (and sometimes offensive) directions.
While the area around Crossroad is a host for mobs and quest around level 10-14, the farther one goes south, the higher level the mobs become.

Horde Safe Zone

The Crossroads

The Crossroads (often abbreviated "XR") is the major Horde city in this zone and should be the destination of any newcomers to the zone.

Camp Taurajo

Another Horde settlement, this one can be considered an 'half-way' point between Crossroad and the Thousand Needle. It also provide a much needed flight path which makes travel over the huge zone more bearable. Taurens coming to the Crossroad will encounter Camp Tarujo first.

The Gold Road

A great road that spawn the entire barrens from the north all the way down to the south.

Far Watch Post

Far Watch is a small Horde camp at the bridge between the Barrens and Durator. While there are a handful of npcs here, there isn't much for the player to do but walk past. The continuation of the Rage Fire Chasm line does take you here for a brief pit stop however.

Shrine of the Fallen Warrior

High above a mountain and hard to reach, is the final resting place of a great warrior.

Mor'shan Rampart and Mor'shan Base Camp

The wall rampart separating Ashenvale and the Barrens and the base camp for the warsong outriders. This is the last line of defense (or the vanguard of the attack on Ashenvale, depending how you look at it) between the Orcs and the Night Elves.

Honor's Stand

There's not much left of this former Horde camp, war with the Centaurs has taken its toll.

Neutral Spots

Ratchet

Despite the fact that the Barrens is a Horde zone, there is a neutral city in here, Ratchet. Belonging to the Steamwheedle Cartel, the town is an important quest hub and also provide a flight path for both Horde and Alliance. Ratchet also links the zone by boat to Stranglethorn Vale.

Leveling Spots

The barrens are huge and include many things that aren't included in the sub zones below.

Thorn Hill, Bramble Scar, Agama'gor, Blackthorn Ridge

Those regions are controlled by the Quillboars, native creature to the Barrens. Their legends speak of their god's battle with the Burning Legion thousands of years ago. When wounded, his blood would splatter on the ground, and great thorn covered roots would grow from such spots. To honor their god, the Quillboars' tribes located themselves near those briarthorns.
The Quillboars' war-like tendency makes them a threat to the Horde settlement in the region.

Dreadmist Peak

Dreadmist host a covent of Burning Legion worshipper, which the Horde would gladly be rid off.

The Dry Hills

Farther north in the barrens, are hills covered with dried out husk of trees. The harpies have found this place to their liking and do not tolerate intruders.

The Sludge Fens & Boulder Lode Mine

Those two area are controlled by unscrupulous goblins who have split off from the Steamwheedle Cartle and who still stoop to any level for profit.
A word of warning, while there are several quests taking you to fight those goblins, they are generally considered some of the roughest (for their levels, of course) quests in the zone. Grabbing a friend (even if the quests aren't marked as group quests) is highly recommended.

The Forgotten Pools, Lushwater Pool, The Stagnant Oasis

Key to unlocking the mysteries of the Barrens, those 3 great oasis provide water for the numerous games and inhabitant of the Barrens. The Kolkar Centaur Tribe have war camps close to those pools, from which they can raid the nearby Horde settlement.

The Merchant Coast

Ironically enough, the Merchant Coast is home to a gang of vicious pirates who actually pray on the merchant ship that board Ratchet.

Northwatch Hold

Remaining force from Admiral Proudmore's Army, Northwatch Hold is a thorn in the side of any Horde ship that would come within range of its cannons.

The Tidus Stair

The Tidus Stairs hold great elemental powers and are home to one of the Horde's most powerful shaman.

Fray Island

Fray Island is host to gladiatorial combat. No Horde Warrior's training is complete without a visit there.

Field of Giants

Named so for it's giant insect like inhabitants, the field of giant is a strange and dangerous place that foreshadow an even greater threat.

Raptor Grounds

The Raptor of the barrens are a cunning lot. Too cunning maybe, since some of them have started showing sign of intelligence. Raptor ground would appear to be their village.

Bael Modan

Formerly a Tauren village, Bael Modan was raised, destroyed and renamed by the Dwarven Explorers League because they believe archaeological proof of their past could be unearthed here. The dwarves have already build a keep and defense around the the excavation site, and they are set on defending it from the Horde.

Instances

There are three instances in this zone catering to level ranges between 15 and 41, with a variety of decent loot available for all levels.
Dungeon Name Level Range
The Wailing Caverns 15 - 23
Razorfen Kraul 24 - 33
Razorfen Downs 34 - 41

Abilities: Herbalism - Lifeblood

Posted by entertainnn On 8:27 PM 2 comments

Just something I forgot to put in the Herbalism guides I put, but while leveling Herbalism you will learn Lifeblood, which will increase in power as you continue leveling.

Profession: Herbalism (275-450)

Posted by entertainnn On 8:01 PM 0 comments

Leveling from 275-300

Finally, we'll head to the plaguelands to level to 300 before heading to the Outlands. Enter from Tirisfal Glades or Chillwind camp and do the loop. When you run past Plaguebloom make a mental note of where it is to come by later. Once you hit 285 turn around and run by all the plaguebloom you saw and you should hit 300 before returning to Chillwind/Tirisfal Glades.

Western Plaguelands Herbalism
Western Plaguelands Herbalism

Leveling from 300-350

Next, this guide sends you to Outlands to learn level 300+, your faction's Herbalism trainer are located:
To keep leveling Herbalism to 350 following this route in Hellfire Peninsula. This guide's focus is to get to 450 asap, so there's really no need to go anywhere else in Outlands unless you need the herbs for leveling Inscription of Alchemy.

Leveling from 350-400

To learn Grand Master Herbalism at level 350:
To continue leveling Herbalism head to either the Holwing Fjord or Borean Tundra and start collecting Goldclover until level 400. Goldclover is valuable on the Auction House.

Leveling from 400-435

At 400 you can head to Sholazar Basin where you can continue picking Tiger Lily and Goldclover while also begin picking Adder's Tongue. Stay here until 435 when you can finally pick Icethorn and Lichbloom in Storm Peaks.

Leveling from 435-450

This guide finishes with levels 435-450, you can head over across Icecrown while picking Icethorn and into Storm Peaks where you can follow this route to 450 picking Icethorn and Lichbloom. There's tons of it here and it's a huge zone. Make sure if you don't use this stuff you sell it on the Auction House.

I hope you enjoyed this guide!

Profession: Herbalism (150-275)

Leveling from 150-170

Head to the Wetlands or Hillsbrad Foothills (although this guide will have you head to Arathi Highlands next) and level to 170 by collecting Briarthorn, Kingsblood and Liferoot. After Wetlands you'll be right next to Arathi Highlands where you'll stay until 225. You can start selling these herbs on the Auction House.

Hillsbrad Foothills HerbalismHillsbrad Foothills Herbalism

Leveling from 170-225

Arathi Highlands is an awesome place for leveling herbalism once you get to 170. You'll spend a lot of time there gathering Wild Steelbloom, Bruiseweed, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Liferoot and Khadgar's Whiskers. Stay there until you are level 225, and don't leave earlier because you'll have a rough time finding a more efficient place to level.

Arathi Highlands Herbalism

Once you're 225/225 you can learn Herbalism up to 300 in Booty Bay. Both factions can to visit Flora Silverwind, who can be found below and to the east of the Alliance Gryphon Master.

Leveling from 225-275

Head to Feralas and start gathering Goldthorn and Liferoot until you're level 230, then you'll be able to start collecting all the Sungrass you keep running by. Collect Goldthorn, Liferoot, Sungrass, Purple Lotus, and Golden Samsan, for this guide stay until you're 275. Alchemists need a lot of Sungrass while leveling to 300, so make sure you sell it for a lot of gold on the Auction House, and check out this guide for more on making gold with Herbalism.

Profession: Herbalism (1-150)

Posted by entertainnn On 7:55 PM 0 comments

This guide will surely help anyone who wishes to level their herbalism profession. Hope it helps!

Leveling from 1-75

In this guide, I'll recommend you head to Durotar and then head to North Barrens, South Barrens, Wetlands and then Arathi Highlands till 225. That path for leveling herbalism is pretty efficient. However, you can head to any of the starting zones like Durotar picking up Silverleaf, Peacebloom, Earthroot and Mageroyal until your herbalism skill is 75. When writing and testing this guide, it took me less than an hour in Durotar to get to 75. Don't collect more Silverleaf etc while leveling herbalism, if you need extra for leveling Inscription or Alchemy just buy it off the Auction House.

Leveling from 75-150

Once you reach 75, you need to head back to a trainer to learn Journeyman Herbalism. Then head to northern Barrens (I kept Westfall routes in this guide as an option) and run the following route until you're level 100, then head to the southern Barrens. Southern Barrens is a great place to level to 150. Levels 135-150 will be a bit slow, feel free to run around Stonetalon Mountain or eastern Hillsbrad Foothills if you want new scenery.

Hunter: How to Pick the Right Pet

Posted by entertainnn On 2:34 PM 0 comments

Let us examine the two standard types of pets, the tank pets or the DPS Pets. There are various other kinds of pets that are more general in nature, so this could be a safer choice for you if you require the pets to do assorted things. Several of the pets, which are regarded excellent for Tanking, include, boars and bears. The boars and bears are possibly more popular since they can be fed easily. For Tanking, choosing turtles are a good idea if you are looking out for stamina.

Require a pet for DPS? Cats are nearly always the first choice if you require a good DPS Pet for your Hunter. The reasons why cats make the best Hunter pet is because they can master assorted abilities quickly, easier to feed and can harm foes in various modern ways. Additionally, you could also choose owls and spiders - of course my personal favourite are raptors. A raptor thrives on blood and if you are hungry for blood, that is the right choice.

You are loaded with alternatives if you want your hunter pet to do multiple functions, which are applicable to both tanking and DPS. I simply love the wolf not just for its brilliant looks but also for its blood-curdling cry. You could also utilize the different speeds with which these pets attack the opposition.

With so many pets to pick out from, the way to help you limited your choice down is to start thinking about what does the pet eat and how easy will it be to keep them? Can you get their food easily, is it pricy and can they eat anything or do they have a specialised diet? For hunters who are standard levels, spending too much money on pet food does not make any sense. The other things to ponder about are what sort of work you have to put in to increase the pet performance and to bring it at par with your own improvement. That's going to be a factor on deciding what pet to pick out.

Whether you are playing Alliance or Horde , one thing you'll always need to think about is how to level quicker. Though hunter pets can enable you to master the game of Wow fast, there is assorted other tricks as well which helps you to improve in the game and a World of Warcraft leveling guide can be an inevitable asset for you in this regard.

[Thorium Ore]
This one is a tricky part. Thorium is pretty rare and are farmed by a lot of players, because it's damn expensive.
Get 5 skill by mining Small Thorium Veins. Then visit your trainer and learn how to smelt Thorium Bar. You should buy around 50 ores from the Auction House and smelt ores until 270 (you can mine nodes until 270, but it will be a lot slower), so you will need only 5 points until you can mine Rich Thorium Veins (you can mine them right away, if you have this enchant: [Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining]). When you reach 270, you can sell the Thorium Bars at the Auction House for almost the same price you bought them.
I only recommend Winterspring for players level 65 or higher. You can go there at lower levels too, but there is like 2 place where you will have hard time to get in and mine those Rich Thorium Veins. Eastern Plagueland is better if you are lower than level 65. If you go to Winterspring and you play on a high populated server, usually there is always someone there who already farm the area. It's the best place and if you can't find nodes there, it's because the place is already farmed by someone else, not because the place suck. If this is the case, go to Silithus which is also a really good place, but I also don't really recommend it to lower level players, all of the Rhich Thoriums are in caves there which are filled with level 60 mobs, of course you can clear the caves but it will slow down the leveling speed.

Winterspring
Winterspring map
Silithus
The red areas are the caves. There are usually 2-3 caves in every red area and they are filled with Rich Thorium Veins. You should be using Gatherer by this time already, it really helps you a lot. When you reach 275, you can just go from caves to caves and you can skip the Small Thorium nodes.
